Blowing in the Wind: An Exploration of Historical Flutes
Michael Lynn, Professor of Historical Flutes at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, will present an introduction to the development of the flute, using his personal, world-class collection. This lecture/demo will include flutes from roughly 1760-1900. The flutes are all in playable condition.

This program will be held in the parlor of the Community Music School of the Oberlin Conservatory, located at the historic Burrell-King House (315 East College Street). Thanks to the generosity of the presenter and venue, this program is free but advance registration is required due to limited seating. You can also see more of Professor Lynn’s collection on his website at https://www.originalflutes.com/
