Curious about how people thrived without electricity in the past? Want to know how we can use renewable resources in our daily lives? Join us as we explore human ingenuity through hands-on activities that demonstrate historic modes of power and the diverse ways we create energy today. Maybe you will generate some ideas of your own!
Notes about Camps and Registration:
Oberlin Heritage Center camps are open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 and run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m each day. Camps are designed to stimulate children’s creativity and encourage curiosity about history, architecture, art, and diverse cultures. Camps are led by an experienced teacher assisted by OHC staff and community volunteers. Camp will be held at the Oberlin Depot at 240 South Main Street, sometimes with walking field trips to interesting places nearby, weather permitting. Children should bring a bag lunch each day and dress for outdoor activities. Simple snacks are provided.
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes may be cancelled if a minimum enrollment is not met by one week prior to the start date. No refunds will be made within one week prior to the session the registrant is scheduled to attend. Grandchildren of Oberlin Heritage Center members may receive the member discount as well. Partial scholarships may be available to those who qualify for schools' free lunch programs (please inquire 440-774-1700).
