Tour and history walk descriptions
Camps are designed to stimulate children’s creativity and allow them to experience history, architecture, art, crafts, games, and the tastes and sounds of diverse cultures. Camps are led by an experienced teacher assisted by college interns as well as youth and community volunteers. Except for the museum program, camps take place at the air-conditioned Oberlin Depot at 240 South Main Street with occasional walking field trips to notable locations nearby. For all sessions, children should bring a bag lunch each day. Some snacks will be provided.
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Classes may be cancelled if a minimum enrollment is not met by one week prior to the start date. No refunds will be made within one week prior to the session the registrant is scheduled to attend. Partial scholarships may be available to those who qualify for schools’ free lunch programs (please inquire). Reservations must be accompanied by payment. Grandchildren of Oberlin Heritage Center members may receive the member discount as well.
