Tour and history walk descriptions
July 18 - 22 (Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
Take a trip through time while learning about ancient cultures from around the world! Campers will discover people and places whose civilizations built the foundations for many societies around today. This camp will explore ancient peoples of the Roman Empire, Greece, India, the Americas, Africa, and Pacific Islanders through music, art, crafts, and games.

Notes about Camps and Registration:
Children must bring a bag lunch, a water bottle, a mask (if required), and appropriate outdoor wear each day. An afternoon snack will be provided by OHC.
Camps are designed to stimulate children’s creativity and allow them to experience history, architecture, art, crafts, and games of diverse cultures. An experienced educator leads each camp, assisted by college student interns as well as youth and community volunteers. Each session takes place at the air-conditioned Oberlin Depot (240 South Main St.) with occasional walking field trips to notable locations nearby.
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations must be accompanied by payment. Children and grandchildren of Oberlin Heritage Center members may receive the member discount. No refunds will be made for cancellations within one week prior to the session the registrant is scheduled to attend. A camp session may be cancelled by OHC if a minimum enrollment is not met by one week prior to the start date and a full refund will be made at that time. Register by June 25, 2022 and receive a $5 discount (reflected in online price).
Scholarships may be available to those who qualify for free or reduced school lunch programs (please inquire 440-774-1700).

Please note that due to the ever-changing nature of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the structure and logistics of the camps may be revisited and altered according to current or projected conditions. Families will be informed of camp safety requirements in advance.
