Tour and history walk descriptions
Guided 30-minute tour of the first floor of the 1866 Monroe House. Learn about Oberlin's founding as a Christian Perfectionist colony, women attending Oberlin college, African American education, abolition and the Underground Railroad, and more.
The Oberlin Origins Tour of the Monroe House is offered every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. On Saturdays, the Little Red Schoolhouse is also included on the tour.
Advance registration is strongly recommended. Admission: $3/adults; OHC members and college students with current IDs free; children (under 18) free when accompanied by adult.
