Cancelled - Spring Break Camp
Update: as of 3/14/2020 the Oberlin Heritage Center will be closing to the public and have decided it is in the best interest for the health of our guests, volunteers, and staff to cancel Spring Break camp. Those who have already registered will be contacted directly. Thank you.

March 25-27 (Wednesday - Friday, 9:30-4:00)
Legends, Mythology, and Folklore Spring Break Camp

Often, there is a bit of truth and history to our world's greatest legends. Over three days, campers will explore mythology, folklore, and fairy tales, and learn about history along the way. Students will experience these stories and their main characters through readings, skits and performances, and hands-on creative activities. At the end, campers will put on a puppet show of their favorite stories. Families are invited to come for the performances.

Notes about Camps and Registration:

This camp takes place at the Oberlin Depot (240 South Main St.)

Oberlin Heritage Center camps are open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 and run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m each day. Camps are designed to stimulate children’s creativity and allow them to experience history, architecture, art, crafts, games, and the tastes and sounds of diverse cultures. An experienced educator leads the camp, assisted by college student interns as well as community volunteers. There may be occasional walking field trips to locations around town and children must bring appropriate outdoor wear each day. A bag lunch and beverage container must also accompany the children every day. An afternoon snack will be provided by OHC.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations must be accompanied by payment. Children and grandchildren of Oberlin Heritage Center members may receive the member discount. No refunds will be made for cancellations within one week prior to the session the registrant is scheduled to attend. A camp session may be cancelled by OHC if a minimum enrollment is not met by one week prior to the start date and a full refund will be made at that time.

Scholarships may be available to students who qualify for schools' free or reduced lunch programs (please inquire).

If you register online, you will be contacted and asked to complete a permission form.
