Alcoa Field Trip - OHC Members Only
OHC interprets Charles Martin Hall's 1886 invention of the aluminum extraction process in its guided tours. Now let's follow that historic thread to the present day with this OHC Members-Only visit to the Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions plant in Cleveland. Following an introductory session at the Alcoa Event Center, participants will tour the factory to see forgings, extrusions, finishing, and a 50,000-lb. press. Afterwards, participants will enjoy lunch together at Melt Bar & Grilled and hear a mini-lecture on Oberlin's aluminum connections by Oberlin College Emeritus Professor of Chemistry Norm Craig. Carpooling to and from Cleveland will be provided.

If you register online, you will be contacted and asked to complete a registration form.
